Ten Books on the Afterlife and Near-Death Experiences

Spirit Lives! shares the experiences of every day people and professionals with Spirit, proving the existence of life after death. Here are some more books that I’ve found on the Afterlife, interactions with Spirit, and near-death experiences.

Unknown

1. The Afterlife Experiments: Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death by Gary Schwarz – Risking his academic reputation, Dr. Gary E. Schwartz asked well-known mediums to become part of a series of experiments to prove, or disprove, the existence of an afterlife. This riveting narrative, with electrifying transcripts, documents stringently monitored experiments in which mediums attempted to contact dead friends and relatives of “sitters” who were masked from view and never spoke, depriving the mediums of any cues.

2. I Believe by Patti Roberts – Real people’s stories, thoughts & beliefs about Guardian Angels, Heaven, Soul Mates, The Afterlife, Ghosts, Near Death Experiences and more. Would you like to have your story published here too?

3. Clinically Dead: I’ve Seen Heaven and Hell by Jenny Sharkey – Stung by five box jellyfish while diving off the island of Mauritius, Ian McCormack later died in a hospital and was dead for 15-20 minutes. During this time he experienced both hell and heaven. This is his story – one which touches on some of the deepest questions we all eventually ask.

4. Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death  Experience by Pim van Lommel – Internationally renowned cardiologist Dr. Pim van Lommel offers ground-breaking research into whether or not our consciousness survives the death of our body.

5. Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near-Death Experiences by Jeffrey Long and Paul Perry – Grounded in first-hand evidence culled from over 1,600 verified Near Death Experience accounts, Evidence of the Afterlife presents the strongest argument yet for the underlying truth of those who have died and returned to share their tales.

6. The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad Boy Brother Proved to Me There’s Life After Death by Annie Kagan – Kagan’s book takes the reader beyond the near-death experience. Billy’s vivid, real-time account of his on-going journey through the mysteries of death will change the way you think about life. Death and your place in the Universe.

7. Ghosts Among Us: Uncovering the Truth About the Other Side by James Van Praagh – The New York Times bestseller Ghosts Among Us takes us on an incredible journey into the spirit world that brings to light one of our greatest mysteries—what happens to us after we die?

8. Reflections on Life After Life by Dr. Raymond Moody – This book offers more first-hand accounts that life after death may actually exist, gathered by Dr. Raymond Moody, the world’s leading authority in the field of near-death experiences.

9. My Glimpse of Eternity by Betty Malz – In this bestselling, beloved true story, twenty-seven-year-old Betty Malz was pronounced dead. Almost thirty minutes later she returned to her body–to the amazement of her grieving family and the stunned hospital personnel. This is her amazing account of what she saw, felt, and heard on the other side of the dividing wall that we call death.

10. My Journey to Heaven: What I Saw and How It Changed My Life by Marvin J. Besteman and Lorilee Bestman – Marv Bestman shares the story of his experience of heaven with astounding detail. His story offers peace, comfort, and encouragement to those who have lost loved ones and gives security and solace to those who are grieving, dying, or wonder about the afterlife.

The Thought for Today and Every Day

We are much more than what we think we are. We are very deep entities, each and every one of us.

Dr. John Muciaccia Discusses Spirit Lives! with Sam Liebowitz

MPS_7340Dr. John Muciaccia discussed his upcoming book Spirit Lives! when he was a guest on the Conscious Consultant Hour with Sam Liebowitz. He shared some anecdotes from the book as well as some of his personal beliefs and the inspiration behind the book.

Here is an excerpt from the interview; the complete interview can be heard here.

“How does a high school English teacher end up writing a book about mediums and psychics and spirit?’ asked Liebowitz.

“I’ve always had a lifelong interest in spirit,” answered Dr. John, as he is known to friends. “I was an 8-year-old boy – an 8-year-old adorable little boy. I just understood my grandfather had a ‘knowingness.’ I didn’t know the word psychic then.”

Liebowitz asked how Dr. John chose people to interview for Spirit Lives! and he said many of them came to him. “Spirit works in very wonderful ways,” said Dr. John. “I really think this book was written through me.”

The first person he interviewed for Spirit Lives! was Brazilian healer, John of God, who was coming to Rhinebeck, NY. His experiences during that visit are included in a chapter of the book.

Liebowitz asked if there was anything that came as a surprise when he was writing the book.

“My intuition had always told me that we’re all psychic,” he answered. “This book convinced me of that.”

“This book also convinced me there’s really no reason for us to grieve our loved ones when they physically pass,” he said.

His personal experience during an interview with medium Roland Comtois solidified his belief in “life after life.” At the end of the interview Dr. John recalled that Comtois’ voice changed and he started to describe the last few minutes of his father’s life.

“That was an interview and a connection with my own dad,” said Dr. John.

Sam asked if there were particular stories that people tended to respond to more and Dr. John related his experiences with psychic Frank St. James, who has helped numerous police departments find missing bodies. St. James, who never charged for his services, had his work corroborated by the Englewood Cliffs Police Chief and others in the department.

Dr. John’s book also includes several experiences of so-called ordinary people such as a woman who was in her backyard and because she was going through an emotional time she began praying to her mother. It was a calm day and yet the clothes pins started to pop off the line, he said.

“I believe people are psychic,” Dr. John said. “Many people have it, they just have to open themselves to it.”

When asked what the spiritual message of the book is, Dr. John answered, “I believe we are all one. We are a reflection of one another.”

Dr. John Muciaccia Appearing on The Conscious Consultant Hour

Today, Dr. John Muciaccia will be a guest on The Conscious Consultant Hour with Sam Liebowitz. The show will run from 11 am to noon and people can listen live.

Dr. John will discuss his soon-to-be-published Spirit Lives! which contains interviews with approximately 20 professional mediums and psychics and 20 “ordinary” people who have had extraordinary experiences with or through Spirit. His book includes the experiences of Brazilian healer, John of God, Frank St. James, a gifted man who works with police departments to find missing people; and Roland Comtois, a well-known medium in New England.

Dr. John Muciaccia’s Book Talk Draws a Crowd

Last week’s “Book Talk” on Spirit Lives! at the Hoboken Public Library was a wonderful success for all concerned. About 20 minutes before the event was set to begin, the AC went out at the library. So, taking this as an opportunity, Dr. John Muciaccia moved the venue across the street to Church Square Park.

There were 100 people in attendance and the event was held under a gazebo
in this historic park where many scenes from “On The Waterfront” were shot.

At his “Book Talk” a Michael Jackson impersonator named Marlon Rodriguez performed for the crowd.   Also, Roger Ansanelli, a sound healer used his
crystal bowl to give a blessing to the audience.

Then Dr. John, as he is known to his friends, talked about his book Spirit Lives! to a very enthusiastic group. He discussed several very interesting selections from his book.  He talked “off the cuff” and had his listeners fascinated at what he had to say.

Although Spirit Lives! is not yet published, it has received media attention and is in the hands of a few international publishers being read at this moment.

Speaking Engagement May 28

On May, 28, I will be visiting the Rotary Club of Fort Lee, NJ  to discuss my new book, Spirit Lives!, which is expected to be published soon.

Interview with Roland Comtois for Spirit Lives!

For my new book Spirit Lives! I was fortunate to be able to interview Roland Comtois, an internationally acclaimed medium, best-selling speaker and author of And Then There Was Heaven, A Journey of Hope and Love.

I interviewed Roland in Chappaqua, New York in May 2012.   The meeting
was fascinating.  And in the last 15 minutes, Roland gave me quite a surprise.
All of a sudden, Roland began twisting in his chair.   His voice changed, his
facial expression changed and he began telling me of the final 15 minutes of
my father’s life – – as though he was my father!    The accuracy of his description
was uncanny, given the fact that Roland never met my father and my father had
passed 20 years previously.
